In the tradition of hip hop pioneers Kool Herc, Afrika Baambaata, and Grand Master Flash’s original Block Parties of the late 70’s and early 80’s, our version also has its sights set firmly on the dancefloor where the only rule is that the DJs must rock the party.
DJ’s Toru and Sum will be digging deep into their crates and playing tunes which defy traditional genre rules of hip hop or house. Anything and everything is fair game. Don’t be surprised to here plenty of rock, funk, soul, and disco mashed up with old school hip hop jams and funky house beats.
