Darren Mac – Friday Nights
With over 25 years of music experience Darren Mac’s musical journey began in the underground warehouse clubs in London in the 1980’s Darren has a unique and innovative sound that was hard to find in any other venues across the city. His secret was the pure dedication drive and long nights spent creating his own House sounds at his recording studios based under the railway arches in Putney, London. His success and reputation soon spread, and he was in demand across the UK where clubs were competing for his music. He held residencies at High Spirit (UK), Club Jam (Award winning, UK), Coolthementa (Tunnel UK).
Darren has often worked alongside many other international top DJ’s such as Paul Oakenfold, Derrick May, Darren Emerson, Judge Jules, Todd Terry, Marshall Jefferson, & Farley Jack master Funk to name but a few.
Relocating to Asia, Darren was playing at Bangkok’s most high profile venues including Twisted Republic, 808, Q Bar, The Tunnel, Bed Supperclub, Narcissus, Flix, and Mystique. He has provided invaluable and enthusiastically received support on high profile tours in the UK, Europe, South Africa and South East Asia which include Godskitchen, Miss Moneypenny’s, “Tiesto’s“ Thailand Tour 2010, Edition Festival Bangkok, Sequence presents “Armin Van Buren” tour, Bacardi Dance Anthems events, and supported M People’s Heather Small’s Asia Tour all while holding residencies at The Tunnel and Twisted Republic.
Kimball Collins – Friday Nights

A pioneer on the American Electronic Music scene, Kimball Collins has traveled the world electrifying crowds and staying true to breaking underground house music for the past 25 years. Amplifying a style best described as underground tech-house with a progressive flair, the Orlando native is an internationally acclaimed DJ and Producer. One of the first American DJs to play at the prestigious Ministry of Sound in London, Kimball has performed at some of the top nightclubs in the world including the legendary Renaissance (UK), Womb (Tokyo), Velfarre (Tokyo), Club Volume (Seoul), Exogroove (Italy), Sound Factory (NYC), Space (Miami), Avalon (Boston) and Globo (Italy) to name but a few. Considered a gifted technical DJ by many including his peers, he has shared the main stage with a who’s who of top International DJs and has held residencies throughout the past 2 decades at some of the top legendary clubs including Crobar, Motor, Utopia, AAHZ as well as his currently residency at Qbar in Bangkok.

DJ Octo – Saturday Nights
One of the most versatile DJs on the circuit, Octo’s strength and diversity comes from a very rich musical background: A classically trained pianist Octo has also worked as a session guitarist and jammed with the The Brand New Heavies, Reef and even Deep Purple! Growing up with such a broad musical background allows Octo to mix seamlessly between Hip-Hop, Funk, Rock, Electro and Breaks without skipping a beat!
Not content with simply DJing Octo also has also been pioneering web-broadcasting and has been running a very successful Podcast with listeners all over the globe tuning in to hear charts, interviews (inc DJ Craze and DJ Food) and live DJ mixes every month, as well as finding time to score the soundtrack for the ‘8th Day’ an upcoming Thai feature film.
In 2007 Octo‘s relentless DJ schedule was rewarded by being voted ‘Bangkok’s Favorite DJ’ in BK Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Awards (the first time the category has existed!). DJ Tech 12 – Sunday Nights
Originally hailing from Bristol, Tech 12 has been honing his skills amongst the world’s brightest stars for over a decade now. Cutting his teeth with respected indie label Hombre Records and Burst FM in Bristol, Tech 12 quickly found himself touring throughout the UK and Europe, finding that ever elusive balance between turntablist trickery and pure DJ party rocking instincts.
After years of grinding on the UK circuit, Tech 12 decided to leave the grey clouds of Bristol behind for the sunny beaches of Thailand. Now firmly entrenched in the Bangkok and SE Asian hip hop scene, Tech 12 has established himself as the city’s premier party rocker and one of the region’s most in demand talents. With residencies spanning 3 countries and 6 cities, Tech 12’s star continues to rise and has earned him accolades from many of the world’s most renowned talents.

Tul – Sunday Nights
Q Bar’s own resident Rock Star Tul writes his own songs and heads a rock band called Apartment Khunpa. The four-member group was founded nearly a decade ago. He spent all his childhood in Bangkok until 1994 that he got a chance to become an exchange student and went to finish his high school diploma in California. In 1995 he moved to San Diego State University in California to study economics. At San Diego State University he got his first knowledge about a small music school in New York Called Five Towns College that offered a degree program on audio recording. A few months after that he found himself walking around in the capital of the world. He got his very first DJ gigs at small fashion shows, which he would spin, a mixture of everything from Jazz to trip-hop to punk rock.
When Tul came back to Bangkok he started his DJ career at Red Bar, then Taurus (One night at Red Bar he met up with his old friend from New Zealand, Joeki, who told him about a new place called Q Bar. Over 10 years on, several albums under his name, a few Thai movies and commercials as a Nokia spokesman Tul is still rockin Q Bar every Sunday night!
Fredrik Funk – Monday Nights
Developing an interest in deep house style as well as collecting strange records and having a father who was a walking jazz encyclopedia provided the foundation for becoming a dj that plays music that matters. That music is music which has shaped all modern music regardless of genre this creates unique sets utilizing combinations of Downtempo, Rare groove, Old School Hip Hop and Standard Jazz Fredrik Funk sometimes including live musicians.
Currently holding residencies at Q Bar Bangkok, Flow Millennium Hilton with Sarit trumpeter from T-bone, Sambal Sheraton and Longtable. He has played alongside notable musical figures such as Roy Davis Jr and Preservation Hall Jazz Band as well as many important Thai musicians.

To-ru – Wednesday Nights
TO-RU is a Japanese DJ from Sendai City, a northern city where top Japanese DJs come from such as DJ Kentaro and DJ Mitsu The Beats. He grew up with rock music and encountered hip hop at the age of 16. He fell in love with the turntablism culture and started djing in 1999. That was the time he met DJ Kentaro, who became the champ of DMC DJ Championship 2002 with the difference of a double score in points between him and the second place.
To-ru then started scratching and has participated in various DJ competitions such as DMC Japan, ITF Japan to contribute to and establish himself in the turntablist scene in Sendai. Toru’s DJ style is flawless and cross-genre, mixing hip hop to breakbeats, house, reggae to D’N’B. He just takes on quality music regardless of genre and attracts people with his flexibility, creativity and dynamism worldwide. To-ru has been based in Bangkok since 2009 and pursuing his music career energetically.

Sunju Hargun – Tuesday & Thursday Nights
Sunju’s career as a DJ has been diverse in nature. With over 7 years of experience in world dance music. He is presently setting his sounds in Bangkok in 2010 teaming up with some of the biggest promoters such as RETOX SESSIONS, UB RADIO & O&P WORLDWIDE (Bangkok) where he has played side by side with Numerous International acts such as Armin Van Buuren (World’s no. 1 DJ), DJ Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Ali Dubfire, John Digweed, Jon Rundell, Funk D Void, Nick Warren, Jerome Isma-ae, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten
Some Highlights of Sunju’s career in Bangkok was warming up for DJ Tiesto In 2009 & 2010, being part of 2 of the biggest events held in Bangkok which promises a great start of the year already. One of Sunju’s biggest highlights this Summer of 2010 was winning 2nd place in the competition for Sander Kleinenberg’s “This is our Night” have his first debut release with one of the most respected labels “Little Mountain Recordings”. Sunju is currently busy in the studio and has a few forthcoming releases for 2011 as well as his residency at Q Bar which keeps him busy.
